Our research has shown that an alarming percentage of new and existing businesses have either poorly drafted or totally ineffective contractual documentation (such as terms and conditions etc. ) and in some cases, no formal documentation at all. If your contractual documentation is sub-standard or non-existant, the consequences can be disastrous.

In accordance with our policy of continuing improvement of our services and taking a pro-active approach to credit management, Chambers have now developed a totally unique credit management system which, if implemented correctly, will not only safeguard your business and cashflow but will ensure that you are complying with current business legislation. In addition, in the event that you encounter a bad debt or require Chambers to pursue an overdue account for you, our system ensures that you do not incur any debt collection fees.

Credit Management
Effective Credit Management is the key to running a successful credit control department. Chambers have developed a unique credit control system that ensures that the correct checks are carried out before accounts are opened. We train our clients in risk assessment and provide all the contractual paperwork to ensure that proper credit management procedures are implemented. Are your credit management procedures working? Ask yourself:
Do we get credit application forms signed?
Do we carry out credit checks before we part with goods or services?
Do we send out account opening letters enclosing our terms and conditions?
Do we get delivery/collection notes signed?
Do we ask for order numbers and the person’s name who is giving us the order?

These are the very basic minimum procedures that you should be carrying out. If you are not doing so, you are leaving yourself wide open to financial abuse.

Debt Recovery
Even though you may have implemented good credit management practice, you will occasionally have to deal with a bad debt or an overdue account. Taking care of these matters can be very costly in solicitors fees or debt collectors commissions. Chambers have developed a unique system called ‘Fastrack’© which legitimately passes on these costs to your debtor. By using our Fastrack © system, debt recovery costs are now a thing of the past.

Credit Check Searches
It is vitally important that you know your customer or more importantly, where has this new customer come from? Have they asked to open an account with you because someone else has put them on stop? Or has the word gotten around that your account opening procedures are easy? Don’t forget, everytime that you provide goods or services, it is your money going out of the door. If you don’t find out about the people that you are dealing with, this is tantamount to playing Russian roulette. Credit checks are quick and cheap so there is no excuse for not doing them. Another unique service that Chambers offers at no additional cost, is our WATCHOUT facility. Once we carry out a search against a limited company, the company will remain on our monitoring system every day for the next 12 months, which enables us to warn you quickly, if there is any new adverse information. Credit checking gives you the information that you need to know before you part with goods or services.
